Beehive-shaped jug. One handle. Frogskin glaze (Albany slip and salt-glaze combined)

Small pottery sculpture. Scene is of a sitting man with his tongue sticking out berating a dog with its head turned away.

Tea set includes teapot, lidded sugar jar, cream pitcher, four cups and saucers, four small plates. Hand-decorated in brown and gold

Wood-fired.

Jar has unglazed exterior, brown-glazed interior. Lid has brown-glazed exterior, unglazed interior.
Two handles on opposite sides of the jar, both with ridges. Stamp on bottom "Brown's Pottery, Arden N.C. Hand Made 84".
